Professional Background

Chris Melnick is an experienced software engineer and systems designer with a background primarily in the financial industry. He currently serves as a Staff Engineer at a major workforce solutions company.

Passionate about the natural environment and deeply concerned about climate change, Chris was inspired to join Camp Monarch after his longtime friend Alan founded the nonprofit. Wanting to contribute in any way possible, he took on the role of Treasurer, managing finances and spending decisions with the support of fellow board members. In addition, he actively participates in local projects and creates social media content to educate and promote Camp Monarch’s mission.

Believing that environmental action should be small, accessible, and impactful, Chris is committed to developing simple, scalable solutions that anyone can implement, regardless of location or resources. He finds the greatest inspiration in supporting local environments, restoring native habitats, and making the world more beautiful.
